How is the prenatal paternity test performed?
Testing on DNA from fetal cells in maternal blood has been highly validated by the scientific community during many years as well as by a number of DNA diagnostic laboratories. For our testing purposes to be accurate the mother is required to be at least 10 weeks pregnant (10 weeks from the first day of the last period). Fetal cells migrate into the mother during pregnancy. At EasyDNA, each blood sample is scanned genetically, the fetal DNA is isolated from the mother's blood and more than 2,000 genetic sequences are analyzed. Each parent passes on half of his/her DNA to the baby, whose genetic code (DNA) is a shared mix of only its mother’s and father’s DNA. By collecting and examining a small sample of DNA from the baby and the potential father, a paternity test can confirm or disprove that the potential father is indeed the biological father of the baby. If all sequences match genetically, the result is 100% conclusive for exclusion and greater than 99.9% for inclusion. It is impossible for the baby not to get half of the genes from the father. Prenatal Paternity Test procedure
1. Order the prenatal paternity test. (click here to order)
2. After the payment is made, you will receive a confirmation email. The kit will be sent to you with an express courier within 2-3 working days.
3. Read the instructions carefully how to collect the samples and fill in the form. The form and the names on the tubes should be written in clear capital letters in English.
4. The tubes contain an additional substance that preserves the blood, only these tubes can be used.
5. The sample collection for our test can be performed by a trained nurse at the clinic, or you can get a private nurse to come to your home. You do not have to specify the purpose of the test; you can say that it is a test for genetic diseases.
6. Once you filled two tubes with your blood and the blood of the alleged father in the third tube, firmly shut the tubes and put them in the padded package.
7. You should order the FedEx courier the same day the blood is collected, it is recommended to fill the tubes in the morning on a week day and not do the test on a weekend.
8. In the form provided with the kit there is a customer number and an envelope with a return shipping address of the laboratory. EasyDNA will pay for the shipping fees with no additional cost.
9. The kit contains a special Customer number of EasyDNA with a special medical permit to send blood samples by courier. If the messenger asks you for a medical certificate, inform him that the recipient already has such a permit.
10. The shipment will be shipped to the laboratory within 2-3 business days. It is recommended to send us an email with the tracking number of the shipment.
11. You will be notified by an email that the shipment was received by the laboratory including an approximate date for the results.
12. You will receive the lab report with the results by email.

Accuracy and probability of the results
The accuracy of the test is always 100% correct. It means that each blood sample is successfully scanned genetically and there are more than 2000 values present in the man, the mother and the fetus.
The probability of a positive result – higher than 99.9%. It means that all of the participants genetically match and therefore, he is the biological father. The result is positive assuming the man does not have an identical twin. Identical twins share the same DNA.
The probability of a negative result – 100%. It means that some of the sequences do not match genetically between the father and the child tested. Every person gets their genetic makeover half from their father and half from their mother. When the results do not match in some of the sequences, it is impossible to determine a genetic link between the father and the offspring. In the case of a negative result, the probability of fatherhood will be 0%.
